Why Accurate Measurements Are Essential
Ordering a new spa cover with precise measurements is crucial. Here’s why:
Energy Efficiency: A snug, perfect fit is the most important factor for trapping heat, which saves you money on your power bill.
Protect Your Spa: A properly sized cover keeps out rain, leaves, and other debris, keeping your water cleaner for longer.
Avoid Costly Mistakes: Most spa covers are a non-refundable purchase. Taking a few minutes to measure accurately ensures you get a cover that will serve you well for years.
Understanding the Corner Radius (The "R" Value)
The corner radius is the measurement of the curve at the corners of your spa. Getting this right is one of the most important steps for a perfect fit. A cover with the wrong radius won't seal properly, leading to heat loss and a shorter lifespan for the cover itself.
4 Simple Steps to Measure Your Spa
Step 1: Measure Length & Width
Measure the outer lip of the spa shell from edge to edge (do not measure the inside). We recommend adding 20mm to each measurement to allow for a slight overlap.
Step 2: Measure the Corner Radius
Place two straight edges (like rulers or a builder's square) flush against a corner. The distance from the point where the rulers meet back to the point where the spa's curve begins is your corner radius.
Step 3: Measure the Skirt Length
Measure from the top surface of the spa shell down to the top of the cabinet. This determines how long the cover's "skirt" will hang down.
Step 4: Measure Latch Locations
Measure the distance from each outer edge of the spa to the centre of the catch. Also, measure from the top of the spa shell down to the centre of the catch.

Purchased several of these cradles for hot tubs for our short term rental accommodation cottages. They work perfectly and will be a big help to our guest when removing and replacing the cover. They will also protect the covers from dirt and damage from being dropped onto the ground. My only slight niggle was in the assembly, to get the cradle arms into the right height, one aluminium pole slots into another and a self-tapping screw is used to secure them in the right position. One hole is pre-drilled in the outer pole, but the screw has to then penetrate the inner pole. This takes a lot of pressure and I had to use an impact drill (which was successful). This is likely to be something many people wouldn't have available so perhaps an easier option could be found. Otherwise, assembly was fine and the instructions clear.

Cover and lifter
Had to replace my spa cover so decided to include a lifter as well. Spa cover was a generic one fits perfectly and of good quality. The lifter makes shifting the cover so easy, good instructions for assembly even tools supplied. The spa store were very helpful and would recommend there products.
