Outer diameter:
Measure as accurately as possible, the outside diameter of the end cap (making sure you measure at the widest point).

Filter Length:
Measure the overall length of the cartridge including the end caps. Do not include any handles, attachments, etc.

All measurements are taken from the outside of the filter.

Hole (if applicable):
Measure the centre hole as accurately as possible.

How to Install Your Vortex Spa Filter Camlock Conversion Adapters

Estimated Time: 2-3 minutes per adapter

Step-by-Step Installation Guide:

- Ensure your spa is off and safe to work on.

- Unscrew and remove your old threaded filter from the filter housing.

- Briefly inspect the base of the filter housing for any debris.

- Attach the Adapter to the New Camlock Filter:

- Take one of your new Camlock filters (not included).

- Locate the flat, male threaded end of the adapter.

- Screw this flat, male threaded end of the adapter into the bottom of your new Camlock filter.

- Hand-tighten securely. You can use a flathead screwdriver in the slot on the adapter for extra leverage if needed, but do not overtighten.

- Insert the Filter & Adapter Assembly into the Spa.

Once installed, replacing your Camlock filters in the future will be even quicker! You'll simply unscrew the filter from the adapter, leaving the adapter in the spa's housing. Then, screw your new Camlock filter directly into the installed adapter.

I have a spa that's a good 20 years old, I bought it over from Australia when I moved to New Zealand, it's been a little cross threaded in that time with all the filter cleans and replacements and Its long been a concern that I wouldn't be able to do up a filter one day and need a drastic repair, the Online chat with staff at Spa Store was very helpful and we came up with a plan of testing one of the Vortex Spa's Camlock adapters on it, the filters it used appeared to have the same threat as the Vortex early Vortex spas, I've been using thread tape on my filters for years to ensure a tight fit with the cross threading so I applied some to the adapter also, from now on I can change filters without having to worry about the thread at all, the adapter stays tightly in place and can use the camlock filters that connect to the adapter easily. No more concerns about the cross threading and easier to buy filters being from a current model spa.
