Startup Process:

• Drain and clean the spa - the best practice is to add Purge™ Natural Spa Pipe Cleaner 500ml and leave the spa running for 20 mins and then drain the spa pool. For a deeper clean, add the pipe cleaner, run the spa for 20 minutes, leave overnight before running spa jets again for another 20 minutes and then draining the pool.
• Clean all the surfaces - use Brilliant™ Natural Surface Cleaner 500ml to clean the surface of the spa. Best to use microfiber cloth to clean the spa to have a scratch-less and smooth surfaces.
• Clean the filters - Spray the Restore™ Natural Spa Filter Cleaner 500ml inside /out of the filters, leave for 15 mins to loosen scum build up and then rinse well with high pressure hose or spa wand/comb. If possible, put in the sun to dry.
• Refill the spa pool with fresh water.

Water Treatment Process -
Turn your Spa Jets on, add 100ml of Spa Alchemy Natural Water Treatment per 1000 litres of pool water and keep the spa pool jets and circulation pump running for 20 mins. After 20 mins, the spa pool will be ready to use. Repeat every 4 to 6 weeks. Always clean your filters on a regular basis (weekly recommended). Use Restore™ Natural Spa Filter Cleaner 500ml to quickly remove the historical scum built into the filters.

Note:
Every spa pool is different due to temperature, usage and quality of water. You may need to dose your spa more or less frequently. The spa pool water should be clear and odorless. For better results, we suggest taking a shower prior getting into the spa pool to maintain the high quality of water as body lotions, sunscreen, creams, oils, etc may affect the chemistry and reduce the quality of water.

To ensure compliance with your spa manufacturer's warranty test your water as per their instructions.

New Zealand Standard (NZS5826.2010: Pool water quality) requires a minimum 2mg/L of free available chlorine or 4mg/L of total bromine in spa pools.

Q. Why do I need to clean my spas filters and why is this vitally important to spa maintenance?

A. Your spa cleans itself and all debris and waste is collected in your spas filters. Not cleaning filters correctly on a regular basis runs the risk of the filters becoming ineffective and may require their replacement earlier than expected.

Q. When should I clean my spas filters?

A. You should follow your spa manufacturer instructions on filter maintenance, however we recommend cleaning your filters weekly.

Q. How should I use Restore™ Natural Filter Cleaner to clean my filters?

A. Spray the filter with Restore™ and leave for 15 minutes to soak in (or spray liberally and soak in a bucket of water for 3-4 hours if you prefer). Rinse thoroughly using a pressured hose or spa comb.

Q. How do I know if the filters are blocked?

A. Dirty filters are unable to filter out contaminants from your spa water effectively. Visually inspect your filters by pulling them out (see your spa manufacturer's instructions). If they look dirty, discoloured, feel slimy or sticky or give off any bad odour, they need a thorough clean. Excessively dirty filters be much harder to clean and may result in reduced life of the filters.
