We have used Simple Silver for the last three years. It is so 'simple' to use. Once you use it the first time all you do is put the new block in the spa. No drama. Works a treat.

Simple Silver is definitely simple. Just chuck it in the pool and you're good to go for 12 months (just need to clean your filter regularly as normal). Best thing for us is that we're in the country and on tank water, so only having to change the spa pool's water once or twice per year is perfect.
