Directions for use

Dosage
100ml per 1,000 litres of water. (See below for dosage examples)
Single dose lasts up to 6 weeks under ideal conditions.

For 1,000 litres of water - 100ml
For 1,100 litres of water - 110ml
For 1,200 litres of water - 120ml
For 1,300 litres of water - 130ml
For 1,400 litres of water - 140ml
For 1,500 litres of water - 150ml etc.

Directions
1. Shake well before use.
2. Add correct dose of Spa Alchemy direct to water.
3. Turn jets on for 20 minutes.

To ensure compliance with your spa manufacturer's warranty, test your water as per their instructions.

New Zealand Standard (NZS5826.2010: Pool water quality) requires a minimum 2mg/L of free available chlorine or 4mg/L of total bromine in spa pools.

How soon after using Spa Alchemy water treatment can I start using my spa pool?
Spa Alchemy water treatment does not contain any harsh or caustic chemicals, nor does it need you to wait for days before using your spa. Just pour in the correct dose, run your circulation pump for 20 minutes and you can jump in and enjoy your spa pool.

Please note, if you are dosing your spa with other chemicals at the same time, the longest wait time must be followed.

How often do I need to dose my spa with Spa Alchemy water treatment?
For regular use, we recommend dosing your spa every 4 weeks. For occasional use, you can dose it every 6 weeks.

Will using Spa Alchemy water treatment save me time and effort maintaining my spa pool?
Absolutely! Spa Alchemy water treatment is designed specifically for ease of use and convenience. It keeps your spa clean, clear and in balance.

Just test your water as per the spa manufacturer’s instructions and see how little you will have to do to maintain control of your spa water.

Does my pump need any additional operation for Spa Alchemy water treatment to be effective?
No, Spa Alchemy water treatment does not require any additional pump circulation to work. Follow your spa manufacturer’s instructions as usual.

The optimal pH level of water maintained with Spa Alchemy water treatment is between 7.2 and 7.8.

Spa Alchemy water treatment’s optimal operating temperature is 10 - 55 degrees celsius.

What if my spa has not been used for a long time or my water is quite dirty?
If your spa or water looks dirty, we strongly recommend starting with a thorough spa surface, pipe and filter clean, and refilling with new water before using Spa Alchemy water treatment.

How important is changing the spa pool water periodically?
To ensure consistent water quality, periodically drain and clean your spa in line with your manufacturer’s recommendations.

What happens when I go on holiday or the spa pool has not been used for long periods?
Your spa water should stay clean and clear as long as you keep dosing the spa every 6 weeks. If you are away for longer or the spa doesn’t look clean, follow the usual process of draining and cleaning the spa surface, pipes and filters before refilling and restarting use of Spa Alchemy water treatment.

Can I add a water fragrance to the spas water with Spa Alchemy water treatment?
Yes, as long as the fragrance is 100% natural. Certain foreign chemicals may damage the balance of the water.

Troubleshooting

What should I do if my spa water becomes less clear?
As Spa Alchemy water treatment initially starts to work, it can take up to 3 days to clear up your water, pipes and spa surfaces of hidden contaminants. However if your spa has heavy usage, long exposure to direct sunlight, is contaminated with lotions or creams, or has any sign of decreased water clarity for longer than 3 days, you may shock dose with chlorine or equivalent. Thoroughly clean your filters more frequently to help speed up the process.

Why did my water lose clarity when I dosed it with Spa Alchemy water treatment?
When dosing your spa with Spa Alchemy, you may find your water gets slightly cloudy or foams up in some cases. This is Spa Alchemy removing all the hidden contaminants from your water, pipes and filters and should clear up within 3 days.

Additional tips for best results

Regularly clean the filters thoroughly with a filter cleaner and rinse well to remove any residue. You could also use some pipe and surface cleaner to clean the inside surfaces and pipes of your spa. A drain and refill after thorough cleaning will also reset your spa water chemistry and allow Spa Alchemy water treatment to do its job better.

CAUTION

Undiluted formula can be an irritant. Avoid eye contact. Do not drink. Do not inhale mist or vapour. Always use as directed.

First aid

Eyes: In case of contact with undiluted formula, flush with cool water for 15 minutes. If irritation persists, call a physician.

Ingestion: Drink cool water and call a physician. Do not induce vomiting.

Returns are accepted within 7 days of the purchase date. To qualify, items must be returned in like-new condition, ideally in their original packaging, and include all paperwork, parts, and accessories.

Eh, its not working too great so far. Having to do a lot of extra work to keep the water quality good. Contacted NZ manufacturer for aome advice and they just don't bother to answer emails. Have 4 months of doses left but after that will not be buying again.

Alchemy spa treatment

Product is ok, but the water does go cloudy after a while even though I am always cleaning the filters.
I am sure it has something to do with the filter cleaning process but I have used the recommended product, (see my review on that)

I love using Spa Alchemy. Not only does it keep our spa sparkling clean but knowing it is safe for the environment is an added bonus.

It's everything you say it is!

I just wanted to take some time to tell you how amazingly happy I am with the product. We have had a spa for a few years now and had endless problems with clogged filters, major fluctuations in ph and alkaline, scum buildup on edges and rust. I have two young children and felt I was spending more time trying to get the spa right than spending time with my kids and enjoying our spa.

I was looking for a product range that was eco-friendly and found exactly that. To tell you the truth I was very sceptical but I said I would give it a go. This product has been amazing. To finally get a product that does what it says. Chlorine free, controls build-up of Algae, water looks fresh and is clean.

Not having to chlorinate it is amazing as I personally did not like the smell of chlorine. No chlorine, means no smell or skin or eye irritation. Not having to clean the filters so often will also be a big power saving.
